ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN PORTUGAL AND SILICON VALLEY: THE STUDY AND THE RECOMMENDATIONS
Lisbon, 28 January 2013 -  The Study and the Recommendations for Entrepreneurship in Portugal and Silicon Valley were presented today at Centro Cultural de Belem (CCB).

José Franca, Chairman and CEO of Portugal Ventures, participated in this session and his presentation “Investing in Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation – Focus on Results” shows where Portugal and Portugal Ventures stand in these areas. See the presentation here.

Pioneer in Portugal, this study demonstrates what we can learn about Silicon Valley, what the best connection method with this innovation pole is; the opportunities and solutions leveraged by Portugal Ventures; and also how to take advantage of the Portuguese Business Incubators.

This session also included the participation of Rick Rasmussen, an international expert based in Silicon Valley, whose presentation centred on the Challenges of International Entrepreneurs / Global Entrepreneurship; Rogério Carapuça, President of the Competitiveness and Technological Pole for Information Communication and Electronics Technology TICE.PT; and Carlos Miguel Oliveira, Managing Partner of Leadership Business Consulting.
Carlos Nuno Oliveira, the Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Innovation, closed the session.
