, has invested in Nutri Ventures, the first international brand in child entertainment which promotes, through entertainment, a positive environment around the topic of healthy eating, thereby leading children to associate feeling good with healthy food. The investment in Nutri Ventures is aimed at boosting its growth and success in international markets.
The Nutri Ventures’ project is centered on content for children, such as an animated series - the largest animation project ever undertaken in Portugal (82 episodes with 1,800 minutes of animation), music, publications, and a virtual world, by way of the company's website
, where kids can enter and live the adventures in the realms of nutrition as true heroes. It aims to be an ally to Parents and Educators, communicating in “children’s” language, thus helping to improve their eating habits.
At a time when childhood obesity is considered the pandemic of the 21st century by the World Health Organisation, Nutri Ventures emerges as a fun and effective answer to the subject of healthy eating for children. But more than an animation, Nutri Ventures is a movement as well as a cause! In Portugal, Nutri Ventures has joined forces with the Portuguese Association of Nutritionists to ensure that the nutrition messages it is passing on are the most suitable, and has established partnerships with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to help the cause of healthy eating reach the largest possible number of children.
In Portugal, the series is broadcast on RTP2 and Canal Panda, where it has repeatedly obtained the top rating with audiences. On the international market, the animated series has already been sold to 19 countries, with the next premiere scheduled to debut in Spain on 25 March on the Disney Channel, the leading channel in the Spanish market.
According to the heads of the company, which was founded at the end of 2010, “Nutri Ventures will be a global children’s entertainment brand. Our debut in Portugal took place in September 2012, but we are taking the world by storm. In 2013, we will enter the world’s two largest entertainment markets: China and the USA!”
