After this evaluation phase, Portugal Ventures will then assess each business opportunity in order to make an investment decision, based on their growth potential and ability to become leading global companies.
During the first Call For Entrepreneurship, Portugal Ventures received nearly 400 project registrations, 143 of which were completed and submitted – a total of 386 entrepreneurs and a global potential investment of 49.4M€. This success was mainly due to the contribution of the 28 partners from our Ignition Partners Network.
The Call For Entrepreneurship is an initiative within the scope of the Ignition Programme, a key instrument in the entrepreneurship endeavour incorporated in the Portuguese government +E+I Programme (more entrepreneurship, more innovation). It aims to strengthen the Portuguese technology-based entrepreneurship ecosystem, encouraging the development of a modern, more competitive and open economy, based on knowledge, innovation and highly qualified human resources with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
