Rita Marques


Rita Marques holds a degree (1998) and a Master’s degree (2000) in Electrical and Computer Engineering by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and an MBA (2007) by the University of Southern California, and several Leadership Programs for Senior Managers by IE Business School (2018), London Business School (2017), and University of Texas at Austin (2016). She was the Executive Director of Porto Business School for the MBAs and Post-Graduate Studies (2016-2018), the Coordinator of the University of Porto’s Projects Unit (2008-2016), and Manager of the Asia Pacific Market, Technologies and Tourism at the Invest in Portugal Agency (2003-2006). She was also a senior consultant for Microsoft Corporation (2006-2007), in the USA, and a specialist for ANACOM (2001-2003). Since 2017 she has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Fundação da Juventude. She has carried out consultancy work for public and private entities in the areas of Innovation, Public Financing, Internationalization and Foreign Direct Investment.

Rui Pedro Soares Ferreira holds a degree in Business Organization and Management by University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), a Master’s Degree with a Specialization in Finance by the Catholic University of Portugal and has been a Lecturer at ISCTE-IUL since 2001. He worked as a consultant for several entities in the areas of financing, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of SMEs and innovation/entrepreneurship. He was the CFO of SharkTank Portugal (2014-2017), Executive Director of ICAT/TEC Labs – Institute for Applied Science and Technology of the University of Lisbon (2012-2013), Corporate Finance Manager of Capital Criativo, Venture Capital Company (2010-2011), General Manager and Founder of Audax (Centre for Research and Support to Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses of ISCTE and Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon) (2005-2009), Manager of Deloitte’s Corporate Finance Division (2004-2005) and an advisor to the Board of API-Capital, SA (2001-2004). He was also the coordinator of IAPMEI’s Financial Engineering/Innovation Office and Studies Office (1993-2000).


Pedro de Mello Breyner

Pedro de Melo Breyner holds a degree in Tourism Management by Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (1997), he completed the Digital Marketing Management (2015) and Tourism Management (2014) programs at Católica Lisbon Business & Economics. With over 20 years of experience in the field of tourism, he was the Head of the Multidisciplinary Team of Specialized Support to Tourism Companies of Portugal (2013-2018), and he was a Director of Turismo de Portugal for the Benelux and Chairman of the Association of National Tourist Offices in The Netherlands (2008-2013). At Turismo de Portugal in Lisbon, he coordinated the areas of sponsorship of international events (2007-2008) and operations of international tourism promotion of Portugal (2006-2007). He also held the position of Golf Product Manager and he was a member of the Management Committees of the Joint Promotion Plans, representing Aicep Portugal (1997-2006). He was also a lecturer in the Degree of Tourism Information at Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (2000-2006).
