Guilherme Marques da Fonseca

Investment Manager

Guilherme is a manager and economist with experience in transactions involving sovereign funds, hedge funds, family offices and venture capital firms. He has a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Portugal, a Masters in Finance from Nova SBE and a doctorate degree in Business Administration from ISCTE-IUL, as well as a diploma in Corporate Governance from Nova SBE. He was Investment Associate at the accelerator/incubator Startup Braga, and participated in the creation and implementation of the SBS Capital Fund (managed by the former Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship of the XIX Constitutional Government of Portugal). Later, he held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at and was partner of ISSHO Technology (a software company awarded by MIT Portugal) – until he exit his position – and assisted consultants with international M&As. He is currently a visiting professor at CESPU lecturing on Strategic Management and was guest speaker at Nova SBE in Raising Capital. At present, he is a Tourism Investment Manager at Portugal Ventures.
