The Rebuilt Village
Big Idea
Aldeia da Pedralva, a rural village in Vila do Bispo which was once inhabited by over 100 people, has, sadly, seen progressive desertification in the past 25 years. Aldeia da Pedralva hopes to become an Active Tourist Village and has promoted several sports events, namely sponsorship of the WQS – World Surf Algarve, over the last four years, and the MTB National Marathon Cup. Because Aldeia da Pedralva should be teeming with life and given the enormous richness of artisans in this region, the aim is to activate cultural life in this village connected to the arts and artisans, particularly the four crafts fairs in the streets of the village.
